Testing the Agricultural Induced EKC Hypothesis: Fresh Empirical Evidence from the Top Ten Agricultural Countries

Within the scope of sustainable development goals and climate change mitigation, this study focuses on investigating effects energy consumption, agriculture, economic growth CO2 emissions in top ten agricultural countries for period 1997-2016. By validity induced environmental Kuznets curve (EKC), mainly aims to explore how activities affect quality. In doing so, utilizes augmented mean group (AMG) estimator that allows heterogeneity cross-sectional dependence. The results AMG suggest EKC hypothesis is valid six out countries. empirical also indicate agriculture reduces emissions, while consumption accelerates degradation. All these production can play an essential role reducing pollution.
